Application Process

How to apply to study at HIC

Step 1

Submit your application

Send the form and supporting documents, including your academic qualifications and English test results and Passport, via our StudyLink Portal (certified translations must accompany documents that are not in English). 

Step 2

Receive an offer of admission

Once you get your conditional offer, it’ll detail the evidence we need from you in order to process your offer. Meet these conditions by uploading any documents to your StudyLink applicant portal (or send to your agent).

If you need an interview, we will do this once you have met all other conditions in your offer 

Step 3

Get your unconditional offer

Once you’ve met all of the conditions on your conditional offer letter, we will provide you with an Unconditional Offer Letter. 

Step 4

Accept the offer

To confirm acceptance of the offer you will need to pay the course fee deposit indicated on your offer letter and return the signed acceptance form via email. 

You can make payments via bank transfer, international bank draft, debit card or online. 

Step 5

Provisional CAS (P-CAS)

Once we have offer acceptance we will prepare the P-CAS and send to you. Please read confirm and return this alongside your financial documents and TB certificate as needed. 

Step 6

Confirmation of Acceptance (CAS)

HIC will provide you with the CAS that is needed for your visa application once your place is fully confirmed. 

Step 7

Apply for your visa

You will need to apply for a student visa to study in the UK and let HIC know the outcome of your application. 

Step 8

Arrive in the UK

HIC is here to support your arrival into the UK. We can help arrange your transfer from the airport to your accommodation, as well as providing a full orientation before classes begin. 

Online Airport Pick-Up Form 

You will need to notify HIC of your arrival details so that we can make these arrangements. Don’t forget to bring with you the original certificates and documents on which your offer was made. 

Step 9

Start the first stage of your studies at HIC

Get settled into life in the UK, study, work and socialise and go on to transition to your degree at the University of Hertfordshire 

Credibility Interview

The UK Government recently announced that many students will be interviewed as part of the student visa application process to provide further assurance that applicants granted a visa, do intend to study in the UK.
