Other Accommodation

Venturing into off-campus living is an exciting step, but it comes with distinct responsibilities.

Off-campus living has other considerations such as larger deposits, guarantor requirements, and utility bills not being included in your rent. Unlike the on-campus experience, you won’t have resident assistants available 24/7. However, HIC and the University, in collaboration with Hertfordshire Students’ Union and external support services, are committed to supporting you.

Your journey into off-campus living is an important chapter, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Additionally, to enhance your off-campus experience, the University of Hertfordshire have established the PAL accreditation scheme in partnership with Hatfield Welwyn Borough Council. This initiative recognises landlords and letting agents who offer safe and well-maintained private accommodation.
